BNSK is pleased to share that a jury trial victory by partners Ethan J. Brown and Anita P. Wu has been named by Top Verdict as the “Number 1 Verdict in California in 2025” in the categories of both Insurance Bad Faith and Elder Financial Abuse.
It was also ranked one of the “Top 100 Verdicts in Los Angeles in 2025” across all practice areas.
Top Verdict recognizes “U.S. law firms and attorneys who have obtained one of the highest jury verdicts, settlements, or bench awards in the nation or an individual state, in a particular area of law.”
BNSK was recognized for the significant jury verdict it obtained on behalf of elderly and disabled policyholders whose insurer unreasonably refused to honor its contractual obligations. In April 2025, following a four-week jury trial in Los Angeles, the jury found in favor of BNSK’s clients on all claims – including breach of contract, insurance bad faith, financial elder abuse, and negligent misrepresentation – and awarded compensatory and treble damages. The jury verdict resulted in a judgment exceeding $1.5 million, plus attorneys’ fees and costs.
