Gal received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1996, and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Toronto in 1998. Prior to attending law school, Gal graduated cum laude with a degree in Social Psychology.

After arriving in Vancouver, British Columbia, Gal passed the British Columbia Bar Exam and practiced litigation in two of the leading law firms in Vancouver, focusing on class action and cross border litigation. Upon moving to Orange County, Gal joined Latham & Watkins LLP, as a litigation associate. Gal’ securities litigation practice focused on representing corporations and individual directors and officers in securities class actions and derivative litigation in both federal and state courts.

After leaving Latham and Watkins, Gal joined the Palo Alto office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Here, she continued to specialize in securities class actions and derivative suits, representing fortune 500 companies as well as executives, as well as merger and acquisition litigation.

In 2011, Gal joined Bergeson, LLP in San Jose, California, one of Silicon Valley’s leading litigation law firms.

Gal has extensive experience propounding and responding to discovery requests, drafting motions, and taking and defending depositions.

After leaving Bergeson in 2014, Gal joined Stanford University’s Rock Center for Corporate Governance, where she now researches trends and developments in the areas of Board of Directors’ liability and best practices, securities class actions, shareholder activism and more. She collaborates with faculty and staff in drafting legal articles.

Gal is a member of the Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto, assisting indigent tenants in defending evictions and is a board member of the social committee of her son’s school.
