Sara Colon,  Los Angeles Complex Business Litigation Attorney
An accomplished litigator, Sara Colón is admitted to practice in both California and New York, where she has extensive experience handling a broad range of commercial litigation cases in federal and state courts and in arbitral forums. Ms. Colón has skillfully managed a variety of legal matters including disputes regarding breach of contract, partnerships, investments, insurance coverage, fraud, government investigations, and business torts. She has also represented plaintiffs in financial elder abuse cases. Ms. Colón’s clients include local and international businesses in a variety of industries, including finance, real estate, telecommunications, entertainment, and technology.

Ms. Colón is adept at all aspects of litigation from case initiation to trial. She has a strong track record of prosecuting, and successfully defending against, case dispositive motions, including demurrers, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and appeals. She also has extensive experience helping clients settle their cases through mediation.

Ms. Colón has been selected a Rising Star by Super Lawyers every year since 2019. She graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2006 and from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2009. During law school, Ms. Colón was a member of, and contributing author to, the California Law Review. After law school, Ms. Colón worked at the international law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York

Ms. Colón is also committed to giving back to the community. She has dedicated significant time to pro bono matters relating to civil rights, immigration, and Title IX. She is on the Leadership Council for the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice, is a member, and was on the board of, the Santa Monica Rotary Club, and has also served as an adjunct professor of law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

She has authored several articles for Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine and has spoken on legal issues to organizations including the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Los Angeles Law Library, and the Santa Monica Older Adult Task Force.
